I was at Catalina Harbor on the "Hawaii side" of Catalina Island about 25 miles off the coast from Los Angeles. As I walked towards the Pacific, the fog started to roll in off the ocean. It rolled past "the pregnant lady" ridge and up the canyon on the opposite side of the harbor. A very beautiful but eerie sit sight. We visited Dartmoor Zoo - the real life inspiration for the film "We Bought A Zoo"! It is a wonderful Zoo with a whole host of animals that you don't normally get to see. Their conservation programme is excellent, and the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable.
