At Rustler Yachts, we pride ourselves in our attention to detail. One area where you can see this is our shutlines; the clearance gap where doors or draws meet. These have to be perfect. A millimetre might not sound like a lot, but you’ll notice it on a wonky shutline. Not only do the shutlines have to be accounted for and made perfectly, but their spacing has to work across the grain of the wood. Some builders don’t match the grain, or they may have one line of draws deep draws that are harder to get what you need from them. We don’t want to compromise your ownership experience or the look of your boat. This is why we do things the right way, the Rustler way. I bought a wee sailboat!! Introducing ENYA, a 26ft Victoria 800 built in 1996. After spending the last 6 months working my arse off and saving as much money as I could I finally did it!!! I had my eye on this boat when it first came on the market, and eventually went to have a look at it when I got back to Scotland. We hauled her out for a survey last week, and.. to keep a long story short I was handed the keys 3 days ago and we went on the maiden voyage yesterday. Gahhh I’m probably the happiest human in the world right now, just look at that wee canoe stern. After 10 years of living overseas, the plan is to spend the next few months sailing around the Scottish isles, seeing more of my homeland and hanging with the family.
