We sail from Kapas Island to Redang Island, where we spend several incredible days surrounded by powdery white sand, turquoise water, and vibrant coral reefs. During our stay, we snorkel in a sandy area reserved for turtle feeding, swimming side by side with majestic sea turtles as they glide gracefully through the crystal-clear water — an unforgettable experience! 🐢💦 We also visit the Chagar Hutang Turtle Sanctuary, where we see first-hand the incredible conservation work being done to protect these endangered creatures. We sail towards the small and beautiful Kapas Island, but the journey turns exciting when we hook our first sailfish along the way! 🎣 After an incredible fight, we safely released this magnificent fish back to the ocean — a truly unforgettable moment at sea. We leave Puteri Harbour and make our way back through the busy Singapore Strait, dodging countless cargo ships and fast ferries along the way. After a long day navigating one of the world’s busiest waterways, we drop anchor at Jason’s Bay—where things take an unexpected turn. We had an incredible experience at Bohaydulang Island, Sabah, Malaysia, where eight Seawind catamarans came together during the Sail Malaysia Rally for one epic raft-up! We set sail for the stunning and remote Surin Islands, but the journey wasn’t exactly smooth sailing. As we made our way north, we had to dodge fishing boats dropping traps right across our path, keeping us constantly alert. ⛵⚠️ Once we reached this breathtaking marine park, we were rewarded with crystal-clear water and vibrant reefs—a diver’s paradise. 🐠🌴 This episode also marks an exciting milestone for us: we used our dive compressor for the very first time, running it entirely off our inverter aboard No Regrets 2. It worked beautifully and gave us total freedom to dive off the boat without needing to go ashore for fills. After leaving Port Klang, we aimed for Pangkor Island, but with the conditions against us, we had to adjust our plans. As night fell, we made a last-minute stop in the Bernam River—only to be surprised by how fast the river currents became when the tide turned. It was a tense night keeping watch over No Regrets 2 as the anchor strained against the rushing water. 🌊⚓ At first light, we resumed our sail north, weaving through busy shipping lanes, dodging thunderstorms, and pushing steadily toward Thailand. After the chaos of the Singapore Strait, we set sail for Port Klang, the gateway to Kuala Lumpur—but the challenges weren’t over yet. As we made our way up the Strait of Malacca, we found ourselves dodging countless fishing nets stretched across the water, often with little to no warning.
