Why we May Never Anchor Again?! 😂 (Calico Skies Sailing Ep.103)

It isn't often we find ourselves staying at a dock being full time cruisers. We opted to pull into Marina Isla Mujeres upon arrival as Immigration & Customs clearance in Mexico is known to be quite bureaucratic. The whole clearance process is simplified with help of the marina staff. With marina rates being about $1/foot per night we decided to stay a while and take advantage of being a dock queen for the first time in our cruising experience. Once we were officially checked into Mexico it was time to start exploring. We were lucky to have a golf cart dropped off at the marina. Isla Mujeres is only about four miles long and we were able to explore the whole island in a day. The highlight of the road trip was the Mayan ruins on the south end of the island. We were able to view the choppy seas we weathered entering Isla Mujeres from the ocean. With exploring complete it was time enjoy marina life. The marina has beautiful grounds as well as a pool. Our afternoon ritual was to hit the pool with friends, play on the slack-line and drink margaritas! Will we ever move back on the hook?!
