Why Is Everything Breaking? | Sailing with Six | S2 E26

In this episode we find everything is breaking. The cone clutch on our starboard engine is slipping. Our port side engine has an oil leak. Our generator exhaust elbow has a hole and the house batteries completely die! If you have Yanmar SD50 engines you will learn plenty from this episode! So as we start looking for a weather window to sail North out of Panama before hurricane season we have a LOT of work to do to get Happy Days in good working order. We get some help from a fellow liveaboard, Rick, because we have a bit of knowledge about our engines but feel we could use some guidance and wisdom from someone who has done work like this before. I know there's not a lot of 'fun' in this episode but sometimes boat life is full of sweat, elbow grease and plenty of grit to keep the adventure alive.
