We bought a 60-foot ex-Federal Police vessel on eBay… sight unseen. So why on earth did we do it? After announcing the purchase of Salloo, we’ve had SO many questions: Are we crazy? Why did we buy another boat? What are we going to do with an ex-Police vessel? And what is the actual plan? In this episode, we're sitting down and explaining everything. Salloo is a 60-foot ex-Federal Police vessel that we won on an eBay auction. Before paying for her, we had to make sure the boat was real, confirm her location and have someone we trusted inspect her on our behalf. Then we drove 8 hours to finally step aboard the boat we had already bought! Now the real work begins. We’re starting the process of cleaning, sorting, inspecting and preparing Salloo for a major refit, with the ultimate goal of transforming this former Federal Police vessel into a long-range family expedition cruiser.
