Volvo Penta MD2020 - mounting fresh water circulation pump
I spray a coat of original Volvo Penta green paint on the pump and use sealing tape at the thread connections and also put on a new gasket between pump and the engine. One gasket is around 17 US Dollars and there is two, but I only needed one because the orher one was fine. I also fill on some original "green" coolant so the system will last a long time. You can get a special primer for aluminium, but I didn't know at the time I was recording the video. The repair still works fine in 2019 without any leaks or paint peel off.
