Renowned for it's crystal-clear tropical waters and vibrant reefs, that feel untouched by time. Yet, beneath Mayotte's beauty lies a turbulent story. Political challenges, poverty, overcrowding, rising crime and severe migrant crisis. Adding to the populations struggles, shortly after our visit Mayotte received a devastating cyclone.
