Join us! -------------------------- Dan Balken, from Buffalo, New York, has been sailing his Tiwal 3, a light sailboat, for two summers. He first discovered this inflatable sailboat in a magazine and was immediately intrigued by its design. He enjoys its versatility, allowing him to sail on various waters, including Lake Erie, the Finger Lakes, and Lake Ontario. During a trip to Cape Cod, he had his first experience with ocean sailing, which was unforgettable. He usually sails solo but has also shared the experience with his children. He was impressed by how well the small sailboat accommodates two people. Its well-designed rigging and high boom make maneuvering easy. Transporting this portable sailboat is simple, as it fits in his station wagon or on a roof rack, making it ideal for travel. As a former Laser sailor, he was surprised by the Tiwal sailboat’s performance. This sailing dinghy is stable, handles strong winds well, and has a reefable sail for added control. Among his favorite memories are his Cape Cod sailing trips, enjoying the coastal scenery and the joy of being on the water with family. He also hopes to sail in Europe someday, particularly on Lake Como and the Adriatic Sea.
