Every home here is a unique testament to island creativity, hand-built from local materials and adorned with the world-famous wood carvings of the Marovo people. You'll get a firsthand look at the "Wantok" (One Talk) policy and the deep-rooted community spirit that defines life in the Solomons. Finally, we head back to the kitchen to learn a traditional recipe: Homemade Cassava Chips. From scraping the root to steaming it over river stones in banana leaves, it’s a slow-food process that tastes like nothing else—especially when paired with the massive, buttery avocados gifted to us by our friend Rocky.
