After voyaging from Canada to the UK with a separate crew, CSM sailed the 80ft Gran Mistral 'Weddell'', single-handedly from Southampton to Reykjavik, Iceland. There he met a new crew. After sail repairs, provisioning and safety training, the crew set sail for St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada; 1700Nm away. It was September and heavy weather was expected.
