Solar Catamaran Takes on the Great Dismal Swamp

☀️Welcome back to Sol Seeker! The new “book in our series” called life has officially begun. We completed what’s known as the Swedish Death Cleanse by selling nearly everything we own, and moving aboard our salvaged, half-sunk 37-foot Prout Snowgoose Elite catamaran as our new full time home. We’ve permanently shed the mast and rigging to transform her into the first iteration of a 100% solar-electric liveaboard cruiser—ready to take on the 6,000-mile journey of America's Great Loop! In Season 2, Episode 3, Jason & Lezlie continue the Great Loop adventure aboard their upcycled solar-electric cruiser. A freak thunderstorm nearly takes out an outboard, we showcase the terrible beauty of the Great Dismal Swamp, and the cool climate shift hits once we exit the lock into the Portsmouth/Norfolk area—complete with some notable dock differences on display. The Loopy Cup standings get adjusted, and things wrap up with a celebration of our Pearl Anniversary (30 years!).
