Snow Gum’s arch & tender lift - Garcia Exploration 45

Here’s a short video showing how we’re hanging an AB 10 UL tender under the arch of our Garcia Exploration 45. The block and tackle arrangements at each side of the arch provide independent 1:4 lifting ratios. One downside with this is that a lot of the 8mm lifting line is needed to bring the tender up from the ground if the boat is on the hard. 21m of line on each side. We’ve used 10mm line for the lifting loops inside the tender. 8mm Dynema is used for the loops through the arch’s lugs, with a sheet bend forming the loop. This makes the loop easy to adjust. It is possible to leave the outboard on the tender and lift it. The 1:4 ratio helps here. This combo can’t be lifted as high as the tender on its own. Regards, Rick.
