SL Journal #3 - Creating Loveworkx The Podcast

207 Visninger· 22/08/26

Alongside logging all those ocean miles, I’ve recently embarked on a new adventure on the water: LoveWorkx The Podcast — Navigating Love, Life & Long Passages. As a solo sailor on my 27-foot Grinde, I keep crossing paths with extraordinary people. Their stories of courage, choices, adventure, and the raw reality of life at sea — and how those experiences transform us — are simply too valuable not to share. So I decided to step behind the microphone and explore how we navigate love, life and the long passages we all encounter. The first conversations are already recorded. 🎙️ Gavin Randall — who sailed from Mauritius to Richards Bay. We followed his journey closely, talking almost every day about weather, currents, strategy and the decisions involved in making a challenging passage. 🌦️ Tim Lemeer — my weather router. As more sailors prepare to cross the Indian Ocean, we talk about the do’s and don’ts of sailing this part of the world, what a weather router actually offers, and why good routing is about so much more than simply looking at the models on Windy or PredictWind. ⛵ Maz — whom I met on Cocos Keeling Islands. She stepped onto a tall ship with no sailing experience at all, only to find herself sailing in 47 knots of wind for two days. We talk about that experience and how she looks at my solo sailing journey from her very different perspective. And there are many more conversations to come. I’m now starting the editing, and LoveWorkx The Podcast will be published soon. LoveWorkx The Podcast Navigating Love, Life & Long Passages. Subscribe and join me for the conversations behind the miles. 🌊🎙️
