Sailing to Carriacou 🌈⛵️

When we left Trinidad we were escorted out of the Trinidad and Tobago waters by a beautiful pod of dolphins that played on the bow of the boat for a good 20 minutes. We had left Tobago in the morning because it always seems to take us longer than predicted to get anywhere. Well, this time that wasn’t the case. We were doing such good speed that we had to slow down, we didn’t want to arrive in Carriacou in the dark. We curled away some sails and settled in for the night, doing enough speed to get us there in the early morning / first light. We arrived is Carriacou around 8am and dropped the anchor in Tyrell bay, just in time for a huge squall to blow through. We checked into customs and immigration and walked the beautiful shores of Tyrell Bay. The water is bright and turquoise - everything you expect the Caribbean to be. Colben and Robin were very excited about the really good fishing off the back of the boat. Colben got a really nice size big eye trevelly. We picked up the anchor and headed around to Hillsborough, the main town in Carriacou. It is a tiny little place full of quirky character.
