Sailing Solo: My Perfect October Sail & Last of 2023. Played hooky & had the perfect day on the bay!

So when opportunity knocked - I kicked open the door and went sailing! I had the perfect October day and it was to be my last solo sail of the 2023 season. The sun was dropping fast as I made for Camden Harbor, Maine, on a broad reach and it was 75 degrees and I was barefoot wearing just shorts and an SPF shirt (don't mess with the sun, even in October!). It was an absolutely perfect way to end the sailing season, though it was too short. I logged 21 miles or so and enjoyed the solitude and the beauty around me. It's going to be a long winter but I will hold this day close to get me through. Come along for a peaceful sail. Thanks for watching!
