Sailing Reverie - Update: Here's What We've Been Up To + Bottom Paint Day 1! - Sailboat restoration

So we are finally to the finish line! on our sailboat restoration! At least when it comes below the waterline. Have to get Reverie bottom painted before we can splash it. I promised my wife she would be in the water before our Anniversary June 2. On this video I am sharing an update on the complete below the waterline sailboat refit we completed on Reverie. I show before and after pictures. There are other videos on my channel that show how we fixed some of the issues. I also show the process to Barrier Coat the bottom. I used Interlux Interprotect HS. This is a two-part epoxy barrier coat that has a high solids content so you will not have to do as many coats as you would with other barrier coat formulations. You will also see how it looks in the can after it dries. It is like a heavy rubber suit (wetsuit) that we are applying to the hull. I also share some lessons learned throughout this process.
