Sailing vessel Tapatya. We leave our anchorage in the Markermeer and sail into Amsterdam. After a couple of days of exploring the city, we head on through to the very southern end of the Staande Mastroute of the Netherlands. Thank you to the Netherlands; we really enjoyed our trip through the Dutch canals! :) This is the story of SV Tapatya, a self-built, Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat. The videos are a week-by-week record of our adventures as I live aboard, sail and strive to find out just what such a self-built, low-budget vessel is capable of.
