Sailing in November (Ep 17)
Solo-sailing my Pearson 26 in a November heat wave in RI. Winds 15-17 knots with gusts up to 24 knots, temperature high in the 70s. We run into an emergency on the water when my boom breaks loose of the main sheet rigging. Quick action saves this end of season sailing adventures. This video is dedicated to my brother Captain Ozzy (Osvaldo Monteiro), a Navy veteran and Captain on the Martha’s Vineyard ferry. He lost his battle to cancer in 2021 at 58 years young.
