We were on our way from Cape Canaveral to Beaufort, 470 miles further up the coast. We decided to sail directly there without stopping, which would take us 4 days. Beaufort is the last place to stop before cape Hateras, so we would wait there for a weather window to sail around the cape and straight to New York from there.
