S02 E08 ICW BRIDGES & OPEN OCEAN WAVES - SAILING THE EAST COAST BY CATAMARAN

Our journey by catamaran up the east coast of the US has been split between open ocean and the ICW. This video is a pretty good snapshot of what our days are like, depending on which route we choose. The ICW is interesting because the landscape is constantly changing, and you really get a sense of the places you're sailing (driving) past; the open ocean, however, means real sailing - when the wind's up and the waves are bouncing, there's nothing quite like that feeling of freedom and the sense of being alive and at one with nature. On the first day we head from Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach along the ICW, passing through many bridges. On day two, we head outside from Palm Beach Inlet to Fort Pierce Inlet, then head to a beautiful anchorage on the Indian River.
