Rencontre avec Kojiro Shiraishi, DMG MORI Global One | Vendée Globe 2024

🇫🇷 Kojiro Shiraishi est un navigateur japonais. En 1994, à l’âge de 26 ans, il devient le plus jeune marin à boucler un tour du monde en solitaire sans escale. Par deux fois, il termine 2e du BOC Challenge, course en solitaire avec escales. En 2016, il devient le premier Asiatique à prendre le départ du Vendée Globe. Le 11 février 2021, à bord de l’IMOCA DMG MORI Global One, il devient le premier asiatique à terminer le Vendée Globe. Pour l’édition 2024, Kojiro ambitionne de faire mieux qu’en 2020 et sa 16e place avec certes le même bateau, mais doté de nouveaux foils et d’une nouvelle étrave. 🇬🇧 Kojiro Shiraishi is a Japanese sailor. In 1994, at the age of 26, he became the youngest sailor to complete a non-stop single-handed circumnavigation. He twice finished 2nd in the BOC Challenge, a solo race with stopovers. In 2016, he became the first Asian to take the start of the Vendée Globe. On 11 February 2021, aboard the IMOCA DMG MORI Global One, he became the first Asian to complete the Vendée Globe.
