Raising The Waterline and Repairing Gel Coat and Epoxy Layer before Antifouling the Hull

We had noticed our sailboat's stern was sitting heavy in the water and blistering was beginning to appear above the antifoul line.. so urgent action was needed! Raising the boat's waterline sounds easy in theory, but measuring, taping and repainting the antifoul was trickier than expected. We used Hempels polyenamel paint to do the rub-rail and bootline, Gelshield 2 pack epoxy for osmosis protection and Jotuns Seaforce 90 for the antifoul. It wasn't the only tricky job we tackled. We also repaired gelcoat damage under one of the chainplates and beneath the rubbing strake.
