Personally Invited to The Bahamas One&Only Ocean Club Ep. 29

Upon arriving to the Hurricane Hole Marina in Nassau, we were greeted by a man by the name of John Conway. He was talking on his cell phone as we were tying up our boat. After finishing his call, he walked over to us and asked in amazement if we had really come from the Northwest. We told him yes, and gave him a brief overview of all that we had gone through to get there. He was very impressed and told us that he too was from the Northwest and that he is a manager at a very elite resort just up the road! He then personally invited us to visit! He made arrangements with the security at the One & Only Ocean Club and told us that he would have free passes waiting for us at the main building! We couldn't believe it! We knew absolutely NOTHING about this resort and had no idea of what to expect once there. The One & Only Ocean Club turned out to be EXTREMELY FANCY! We were blown away by how immaculate the buildings and general grounds of the resort were! We have never seen any place as beautiful as this! The beaches were pristine with white sand and the most beautiful blue water we had ever seen! There were several pools available to use and plenty of sitting areas to relax and watch the waves on the beach! They have an incredible restaurant with food that looked and smelled delicious! We unfortunately were feeling poor with paying the slip fee at the marina, so we didn't buy anything to eat, but man if we ever go back, it will be top on our list of things to try! We were so grateful to use the showers located in the fitness center of the resort and couldn't believe how HUGE, clean and fancy the bathrooms were. This was no typical public locker room style bathroom you would find in the U.S. No this was more like walking into a private spa! They even provided everything we could ever need! For example, there were new "fancy" razors for shaving, creams, lotions, shampoo, conditioner, hair brushes, tooth brush’s and tooth paste… you name it! They even had bottled water! The towels at the sinks were practically real cloth and we found it hard to toss them into the trash after drying our hands! It kinda felt like walking into someone else's home and taking and using all of the "new" stuff with out asking! After spending the day at the Atlantis Water Park and the One & Only Ocean Club we decided we would go ahead and spent one more night at the Hurricane Hole Marina. We then left Nassau and made our way East to Rose Island not too far away. The plan is to stay there for a few days while we wait for a favorable wind to take us to the Exumas!
