We explored Jamestown, tackled Jacob’s Ladder far too many times, hiked through some of the island’s wildest landscapes, swam with a ray that appeared beside the boat, met some fascinating people along the way, and got a look inside one of the tiny boats competing in the Mini Globe Race. We also discovered just how much history is packed into this little rock — from old fortifications and Napoleon’s exile to shipwrecks still lying beneath the anchorage.
