Another great load of boatwork done in this episode with machining a lot of Rosewood, topcoating saloon pieces and fitting hinges and locks to the galley cabinet doors, setting the stage for a SIGNIFICANT install-fest in the next instalment of Building SY Mistress! Mistress is designed by one of the highly respected Dutch naval architects E.G. Van de Stadt, a Caribbean design, length 40ft/12m, beam 13ft/3.9m, draft 5ft/1.5m. Her hull and decks are built in mild steel and I have built her on my own and am also fitting her out on my own. I have not built any type of boat before Mistress. There were many reasons why, but the work stopped,... However, the work has re-started, thankfully, and I am on an exciting journey to finish Mistress and then go on my sailing adventures,...
