► At the Cannes Yachting Festival, the editorial team at Multihull World met Adam Cockerill, Sales Manager of the Lippert Group, who was there to present Lewmar’s latest innovation: their Ultra-Low Profile Hatch. This deck hatch stands out from the crowd, though not from the deck, first and foremost thanks to its flush design, with only 10 mm (⅜”) of extra height above the deck. It’s an aesthetic detail that makes all the difference: integrated into the lines, it almost disappears from view while enhancing the modern look of multihulls. Another advantage highlighted by Adam is the 360° ventilation function, which creates proper airflow and ventilates the interior effectively. Designed for both original equipment installation and refit, the Ultra-Low Profile uses the standard cutouts of Lewmar’s Low Profile, Medium Profile, and Ocean Hatch ranges, as well as those of other manufacturers. The result is a perfect fit without any major modifications. With this new model, Lewmar is offering a sturdy, well-finished hatch that combines discreet aesthetics, optimal ventilation, and ease of integration.
