Lewmar gear linkage repair & cable adjustment - (Whitlock) morse controls - Boat Projects
In this video, we repair the gear linkage that broke on the way to Alderney. It took two attempts to get this working correctly; first, we had to replace the faulty part which snapped on that trip, but we also had to adjust the cable to get everything working smoothly. It must have been out of alignment for some time. This unit is also referred to as a Whitlock control unit which we believe was bought by Lewmar and is now sold under that brand.
