Sir Richard Matthews is well known in the sailing community for his establishment of the very successful Oyster Yachts. He is also the owner of several racing yachts, including the 12mR Crusader, which headed the British campaign for the America’s Cup in 1987 and which is racing at Les Voiles de Saint Tropez. We asked Sir Richard what appeals to him about racing Crusader with his young crew and why Les Voiles de Saint Tropez keeps bringing him back.
