At 1166 pieces, it's quite a bit smaller, but no less of a challenging build. It took about 5 and half hours to put it together, much longer than I thought it would. Ultimately it's not really my kind of set, it doesn't really lend itself to display. But if you're a Lego Technic fan who is looking for a set with plenty of play opportunities, it's a must buy.
