Installing a Lewmar Ocean Series Hatch on an Alberg 30 - Part 3

PROJECT VIDEO: Fairing the base and completing the install! Hello Friends, On this third part of the this install series I sand the new base and apply fairing compound to try and get it as smooth and original looking as possible! After several passes of fairing I was at a place to paint and install...... As I mentioned in the video, I hastily installed it (in February) due to a rainstorm that was coming and we were leaving for Catalina Island the next day. The last part of this video was shot in June of 2020. I pulled the hatch, sanded and repainted the base and reinstalled it with a calculated amount of Butyl Tape. I hope this video helps you if you decided to update your forward hatch and allows you to see some of the steps I went though to make this amazing upgrade happen.
