Inside the Last Nordhavn 41: Everything You Need to Know
THE LAST NORDHAVN 41 | 3,000-Nautical-Mile Compact Passagemaker With an estimated 3,000-nautical-mile range on just 900 gallons of fuel and a brilliantly designed layout, why would Nordhavn stop building this remarkable compact passagemaker? Join Rick Hoffman of YachtLens at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) as we tour the very last Nordhavn 41 ever built with our good friend Justin Parkins of Nordhavn Yachts. Only 44 Nordhavn 41s were built before production ended in 2026. This wasn't the result of a failed design. According to Nordhavn, rising production costs, inflation and currency challenges in Turkey made continued manufacturing economically unsustainable. The result is a rare opportunity to explore the final hull of one of Nordhavn's most intriguing small passagemakers. Don't let the 41-foot length fool you. This long-range trawler packs remarkable cruising capability into a manageable footprint, with twin diesel engines, generous equipment access, serious offshore features and an exceptionally clever use of interior space. IN THIS NORDHAVN 41 WALKTHROUGH: ⚓ Spacious salon with convertible seating and ingenious storage ⚓ Pilothouse helm, Garmin navigation electronics and twin-engine controls ⚓ Practical galley, heating systems and natural ventilation ⚓ Two cabins, including a forward walkaround berth ⚓ Guest bunkroom with a hidden washer/dryer ⚓ Engine room with twin Nanni diesels and accessible systems ⚓ Stabilizers, generator, watermaker and passagemaking equipment ⚓ Secure walkaround side decks, high rails and boat-deck tender space ⚓ Folding mast, solar panels and Great Loop cruising potential ⚓ Why Nordhavn ended N41 production and what comes next NORDHAVN 41 | KEY SPECIFICATIONS Length Overall: 41' 4¼" (12.60 m) Beam: 13' 11" (4.24 m) Draft: Approx. 4' 8" (1.42 m) Displacement: Approx. 43,300 lbs (19.6 metric tonnes) Engines: Twin Nanni 115 HP diesels Fuel Capacity: 900 US gallons (3,407 liters) Fresh Water: 300 US gallons (1,136 liters) Cruising Range: Approx. 3,000 nautical miles at economical displacement speed Accommodations: 2 cabins / 1 head Production: 44 hulls Range is an estimate, not a measured sea-trial result for this hull. In July 2026, Nordhavn announced the end of N41 and N51 production, citing rising manufacturing costs and currency challenges at the Turkish yard.
