How to make teak bungs, Stainless Lifelines and Prepping interior for Varnishing

This week we show how to make your own bungs for plugging holes or covering screws. We made hundreds of these in a simpler way when we were replacing all the molding and trim on our GulfStar, but now on the Formosa we needed to make a larger bung for the boom. This was something that we couldn't buy at a local chandlery so it was time to roll up our sleeves and be resourceful. We also show what we are considering on the design of our new solid lifeline replacement with stainless steel handrails. We are going to have 2 lifelines below the solid handrail and are considering all the other factors in how they attach to the pulpit. We are also considering some changes to lifelines and rails around the cockpit to build and raise the seating there. Additionally, we prepare the lower salon for varnish. We remove cabinet doors, hinges and sand and prepare the surface. We show the right and wrong ways of doing so.
