2013 HANSE 495 'TENGERU' with EziYacht Marine Brokerage - SOLD Dec 2020 Hanse designed the 495 to be sailed short or single handed. This is made easy with the addition of a self-tacking headsail, and by the fact that all lines are run aft to two electric winches. The mainsail can be controlled from either helm position and the engine, windlass and bow thruster controls are all within easy reach of the starboard helm's position. Tengeru sails beautifully in a fresh 20-25kt breeze on the gentle waters of Pittwater. Helming is a dream with her responsive twin carbon wheels as she powers through the water easily making 8-9kts on a reach. Dual plotters and a compass are also fitted just forward of the twin helms, and there are seats if you wish to simply relax under autopilot. This spectacular yacht has been geared up for offshore single handed cruising. She was originally commissioned for inshore charter, however her current owner has upgraded a lot of her equipment for long distance offshore sailing. In 2018 the yacht underwent considerable ugrades, such as two new BnG plotters which are integrated with Radar, AIS and Predict Wind weather routing and forecasting. The yacht's safety equipment includes an 8-pax liferaft, a newly fitted boom brake, and a Gennaker with independent furler. Power systems include upgraded batteries, 4 x flexi solar panels mounted on the bimini and a Fisher Panda Generator, and a 75hp turbo Volvo diesel engine. The yacht's interior offers a large comfortable saloon and dining area and in-line galley in immaculate condition. Tengeru has a 3-cabin 2-head interior and can sleep 6 with an additional saloon berth for additional overnight accommodation.
