Going to the Ghost Town of Fayette - Sailing SV Freelance Ep. 30

829 Bekeken· 01/01/25

We crossed to Green Bay the day before, and now turned Freelance up into the Big Bay De Noc to Fayette. It's a cruising destination that we were repeatedly told is one of Lake Michigan's must-see harbors. We definitely were not disappointed. It's a place to stay and explore for several days. Fayette is both a beautiful Michigan State Park with wonderful walking trails, as well as a well=preserved historic townsite and iron works dating from the late 1800s. The small marina, also known as Snail Shell Harbor, was delightful. It's well designed, scenic, and sheltered.
