⛵️ From Beginners to Bluewater… Our First Year Living on a Sailboat One year ago today… we bought Stella. And honestly? We had almost no idea what we were doing. Camille had never properly sailed before. We moved aboard full-time in Langkawi, Malaysia… and learned everything the hard way. Over the last 365 days we’ve dealt with: ⚓️ dragging anchor in storms 🌊 squalls at sea 🔧 engine failures 🪢 fishing nets around the propeller 🚽 exploding toilets ⛵️ climbing the mast offshore 🛂 crossing borders into new countries 🐈 and even adopting a little sea kitten along the way But somewhere between all the chaos, breakdowns, sunsets, and surf missions… this lifestyle completely changed our lives. From Malaysia → Thailand → back through Langkawi for a full haul out → and now Indonesia… this is the story of our first year living aboard Stella.
