Foraging In The Wilderness - Ep. 126 RAN Sailing

How rewarding it is to find food in the nature! In Red Bluff Bay, Alaska, a perfect storm proof anchorage we forage blue mussels, spot bald eagles and waterfalls. When the wind has calmed down we continue east towards Petersburg and pass by a breaching humpback whale and then a pod of humpbacks bubble net feeding. It’s easy to say that the wildlife in Alaska is something special! We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat RAN, a custom built Beason 40 in aluminium, untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter, January 2016, and started sailing south along the coast of Europe. There is no set route and we will go where the wind and our minds take us.
