The carnival in Fort-de-France, Martinique, is one of the biggest during the carnival season in Caribbean. It's a huge celebration and it felt like everyone in the city participated during this 4 day fiesta. If you can plan you Caribbean cruising to be in Martinique mid February - you should definitely go here! The exact time for the carnival varies in sync with the lent period, so be sure to check out the schedule for each year. If you don't want to watch everything, you should at least see the start of the carnival, that was the day with the most energy!
