We actually had fun amidst the inevitable hard work and anguish of our boat lift. If you want to know how make this fairly odious job more bearable make sure you watch this episode. It wasn't without it's challenges but we found some ways to really enjoy our week on the hard! GATORS Rope Cutter: The cutters I fitted to replace my broken Spurs are called Gators & although I haven't tested them in anger yet ( I'm sure that day will come! ) I can definitely recommend the build quality they just look super strong so if you're in the market for a rope cutter check them out here... http://www.propprotect.com/ I'VE JUST HEARD FROM IAN WHO BUILDS THE GATORS & HE SAID IF YOU MENTION SAILING FAIR ISLE HE"LL GIVE VIEWERS 10% OFF! 20% FOR PATREONS (he is a very nice man) We have covered the technical aspects of a standard boat lift in a tech corner video before so if you want the details make sure you watch this video too... https://youtu.be/q7W8UwvO548 Also you will see in this episode that the Gtechniq nano technology product that I tested on a section of the hull in Venice last year was a great success and I go ahead and apply the ceramic base and top coat to the whole of Fair Isle's hull. If you want to see the tech details of that I made a video when I applied the test strip which you can see here... https://youtu.be/0TEQPSbml5A ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE DO SUBSCRIBE - IT COSTS YOU NOTHING AND HELPS US OUT WITH THE YOU TUBE ALGORITHM ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rather see our videos without ads?...
