So… back we go, retracing the entire day’s journey and waiting a few more days before we can continue along the canal. It’s icy—proper “four‑layer weather”—but the scenery is gorgeous, the towns are sleepy and sweet, and the supermarket discoveries are fun. And to warm things up, Magnus does his very first Belgian beer review. The Trappist Dubbel surprises us: lighter than expected, full of caramel and fruit on the nose, bitter on the palate, and honestly… it's Not Bad!
