Ep_26 - Keel repairs, mast work, glassfibre repairs
We give our stanard candid boat maintenance approach to repairing and prepping the hull and keel. As ever suffer some minor setbacks, including much trial and error. As ever we are learning as we go and are 100% open to your feedback on our attempted work. Key include sanding down the antifoul paint and rust on the keel using various tools such as a DA (dual-action) sander, an angle grinder, and use rust converter chemicals for the first time. In our own way we stress the importance of precision measuring in aligning the mast base to the deck, while joking about our own mistakes and slow pacing across months of work. Despite the challenges and messiness, we offer an exploration of routine boat maintenance tasks and honest reflections on DIY efforts.
