E210 - Struck by Lightning in Remote Indonesia | Everything Failed

We’re jumping forward to real time because so many of you have been asking what happened to us. On 12th November, while anchored off a tiny remote sand island called Pulau Panjang in Indonesia, No Regrets II was struck by direct lightning to the mast. The strike was devastating — it wiped out almost every electrical system onboard. In an instant, we lost: Navigation and instruments Engines Lighting Low and high voltage power systems Charging systems Communications Essentially everything electrical on the boat This episode is Part 1 of our real-time update series, documenting what we had to do to stabilise the boat, jury-rig critical systems, and begin the long, difficult journey back toward civilisation and eventual repairs.
