E148 - Tenia Island & A Road Trip With New Friends

Heading north from Noumea we stop and Ile Moro and check out the interesting erosion of the island and find a banded sea snake climbing back into the water, before heading to the idyllic white sandy Ile Tenia to do a bit of snorkelling. We meet a local that takes Chris fishing, before very kindly we are invited back to their house and taken on a drive around New Caledonia to see the countryside and their farm, complete with a guest tree house. We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022. We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change.
