Doing what you shouldn't do when sailing: Rushing on a Schedule - Ep. 5
Doing what you shouldn't do when sailing: Rushing on a Schedule If you become a bit exhausted by watching this video, we don't blame you! The video takes us back to the Fall 2018 in the Mediterranean Sea and a lot of things happen: We do some land based travelling to Bosnia & Herzegovina and learn about the horrors of the Yugoslav Wars and the genocide We play some old-school PinBall with friends from Denmark We charter a racing sailboat and realize how much we appreciate Tengah We sail in a VERY fast pace through the Mediterranean Sea (and end up in 45+ knots of wind) to be able to start our Atlantic Crossing in time. We meet some REAL YouTube Vloggers (Ryan_and_Sophie_Sailing) and go behind the scenes of one of their videos We eat some mealworms and learn about alternative protein production Along the way we of course have a lot of fun, and continue with our (apparently) Swedish theme by giving our own little tribute to the famous ABBA - have we told you that neither of us are Swedish, although we used to live in Sweden? If you are wondering why we don't have more footage from all of this, we can assure you that so do we! Truth is that this was a very stressful period for us, and we simply didn't manage to add shooting videos to all of this. Another thing you might be wondering is; what has eating dried mealworms and learning about alternative protein production to do with sailing and travelling? Well, not really much as you might have figured, but it brings us very close to one of our aims with this trip. We want to learn about environmental or social issues that we meet along the way and examine ways to do something about to minimize negative impacts. This might come in the form of organising beach clean-ups throughout the world, learning about mealworm production or talking to those dedicated to reducing sexual violence in the Caribbean. We are not doing this to confuse you or to tell you how you should live your life, we are simply doing it because we want to learn ourselves. By sharing our videos with you we hope that you find joy in learning with us, and that you after having watched our videos have learned a new thing or two. We hope you enjoy this way of making sailing/traveling videos, because this is something that is very important to us. Enjoy and all the best from Mie & Scott PS: if you want to know more about the benefit about mealworm production go to:https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/food-and-drink/mealworms-food-why-eat-beetle-larvae-insect-taste-ingredient-supply-a7870541.html or if you want to know more about the farm Soeren is part-owner at: http://heimdalentofarm.dk/ (Danish Homepage) Also, don't forget to visit our homepage at www.svtengah.com Camera Equipment Sony A7S with Sony 28mm f2.0 lens Garmin VIRB Ultra 30 action camera Zhiyun Crane Gimbal (Version 1) Canon EOS 70D with 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 lens Microphone: Shure LensHopper VP83 Editing: Final Cut Pro X We have decent enough equipment, but obviously not the latest and greatest.
