Cruising Conversations – Episode 9 – Steve D’Antonio

Getting away from our usual habitat of marinas and shipyards, Steve and I went inland for a change in scenery to talk about our favorite subject - boats. Those who know us are aware we can talk and talk, which we did on a lovely afternoon. This is the first of three sessions we filmed. Steve and I have shared clients on new builds and brokerage surveys for at least 15 years. Our business approach to clients is both similar and complementary- customer first, listen more than you talk and take the time to understand - so that you can provide the best possible service. The more we worked together the more we came to respect the unusual effort we each provide to our clients, and we have evolved from business colleagues to close personal friends. There is no one I have met in my long marine industry career who knows more about boats than Steve. His knowledge of boat construction, systems integration and technical advances is unequaled. Every time I speak with him, I learn something new. He is an excellent public speaker-we used to meet up all over the country as TrawlerFest presenters, and a prolific writer, having penned hundreds of articles for dozens of magazines, as well as his own website.
