86: THE PROCESS OF BUYING A SAILING CATAMARAN - Rigging & Marine Survey on a Voyage 500

For those of you new to our channel, we have been in the boat buying process since April. We narrowed down our choices to a few boats and one of them was the Voyage 500 catamaran which we proceeded to sail on and really like her...so, we proceeded to schedule both a rigging inspection and a marine survey. If you're not familiar with the process it's essential to buying a boat as well as a very interesting process. This video chronicles the two days we spent with the inspectors and includes a beautiful sea trial sunset sail starting at the Catamaran Boat Yard in Key Largo and though the Snake Creek Bridge and ending at Venetian Shores in Islamorada, Florida. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you.
