86 - Motoring All the Way to the Gold Coast

Seamlessly manage your boat's upkeep – let's embark on this journey together! ***** It is always our preference to sail, but when faced with the choice of sailing in high southerly winds and huge swells (against the EAC) or motoring in light airs, Starry Horizons became a motor boat. We hoped that motoring would make this passage pretty easy, but Neptune had a few challenges to throw our way. A fishing trap lost a fight with one of our rope cutters and a ton of marine growth on one of our props caused us to make a quick detour in order to do some cleaning. And to top it off, the notoriously treacherous Southport Seaway was waiting for us at the end. But all's well that ends well and Starry Horizons arrived safe and sound in the Gold Coast, albeit a bit lighter on diesel! Thanks for watching!
