84 - New Years in Sydney Harbour Is Absolutely EPIC!

And we finally made it... David's family flew halfway around the world to join us for the holidays and we spent several weeks together exploring Australia. We got out to visit the (very foggy!) Blue Mountains, flew up to Brisbane to get up close and personal with some kangaroos and koalas, and finished the trip with a short sail up to Pittwater. But the highlight was definitely New Year's Eve. We anchored Starry Horizons in Farm Cove on the 30th, just a stones throw from the Opera House. The next day, chaos descended. It felt like every boat in Australia was trying to join us in the little cove. Boats were dragging anchor, running into each other and anchoring waaayyyy too close. Honestly, it was quite stressful. Somehow, we managed to make it through the day without incident. And the fireworks made it all worth it. Happy 2018 indeed! Thanks for watching!
