#621 - Holcim-PRB have set a new 24-hour, monohull distance record

SAILING ILLUSTRATED #621 (Friday 26 May) - Thursday was an incredible day for Holcim-PRB, covering 630+nm in 24 hours. Can they catch leader 11th Hour Racing, who are still racing at speed after hitting something, suspected to be a marine mammal, at 29 knots in 28+ knots of wind. The impact caused two crew injuries onboard . . . Trimmer Charlie Dalin (FRA) has a suspected mild concussion, and Media Crew Member Amory Ross (USA) has injured his shoulder.
