- Top boat speed 19+kts - Average boat speed 9.5kts - Gusts over 35kts and big waves! Double Dammed 2011 Race on the Colombia River, hosted by the Hood River Yacht Club. There were 22 boats racing, all keelboats; Melges 23 & Moore 24. The Weta was the only dinghy/multihull entered. We were the third boat to finish with a time of 4m 21.17s David Berntsen (Sausalito, CA) and Ethan Salkind (Seattle, WA) sailors.
